You choose how each slide is redrawn. The three modes treat your photo differently, so here is exactly what each one does.
Private Mode
Where it runs
On this iPhone, or on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute when more power is needed.
Who sees the photo
No third-party AI company, and not us. Our server isn’t involved. Apple designed Private Cloud Compute so that your data isn’t kept on its servers and isn’t available to Apple.
What’s saved
Your own copy of the photo and slide, in Your slides on this iPhone, until you delete it. Nothing is kept on our server, because this mode doesn’t use it.
What it needs
An iPhone with Apple Intelligence and a connection. On other iPhones this mode is hidden. It never switches to another mode by itself.
Best Quality
Where it runs
Off your iPhone. A smaller copy of the photo goes to our server (hosted on Cloudflare), then to OpenRouter, then to Google’s Gemini model.
Who sees the photo
Those companies process it, outside Apple’s Private Cloud Compute. Our server doesn’t save the photo or the slide text. We ask the model providers not to keep it or train on it, but what they do is under their own terms.
What it needs
Your say-so and a connection. We ask before each use unless you turn that off in Settings. This mode is always marked THIRD-PARTY AI.
What else is sent
A random ID made for this app, the app version and your IP address, so the server can limit use. It keeps only scrambled forms of the ID and IP address, and they expire within 48 hours.
Quick draft
Where it runs
Entirely on this iPhone. Nothing is sent anywhere, and it works with no connection.
What to expect
Simple layouts only, always marked as a draft. You can redraw it later in another mode.
What stays on your iPhone
Your photos, slides and exported files are saved on this iPhone so they can appear in Your slides. We can’t see them. iOS may include them in your own iPhone backups. You can delete one slide in Your slides, or everything in Settings › Delete all data. Deleting keeps only the count of free slides you’ve used.
What we collect
We don’t have accounts. There are no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and we don’t sell data. The only data that reaches our server is what Best Quality sends, described above. If you never use Best Quality, nothing reaches our server.
Sharing
A slide leaves your iPhone only when you share or export it, and it goes where you send it.
Subscriptions
Apple handles payment. We see no card or Apple Account details. The app reads from StoreKit, on this iPhone, whether a subscription is active.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only to photograph your sketch. The app sees only the photo you pick from your library, not the rest of it.
Children
This app isn’t directed at children.
Changes and questions
